You cannot deny the streetwear brands that are the best in the business. Supreme, Bape, Nike, Adidas are brands that rule the industry. You will not find these brands in this article. Our favorite brands right now are ones that range from smaller retailers to ones we could not live without. Here are ThreadBeast’s favorite brands at the moment.
Staple Pigeon
Clothing with a picture of a dirty bird doesn’t sound that appealing. However, Staple Pigeon with it’s clean and unique pieces make streetwear fans want to wear their logo proudly. In 1997, Jeff Staple went to a clothing store in NYC wearing a shirt he created in his silkscreen print class. The owners loved it so much that they asked Jeff to create some for the store. This started Staple Pigeon and others began noticing. Nike even reached out to Jeff in 2005 to create a Nike Dunk off of his designs. Staple is now synonymous with the hustle and bustle of NYC and is seen all across the country as a top tier streetwear brand. Our favorites from the brand are their bomber jackets and their simple tees with the iconic pigeon.
Rhone
High functioning workout gear that feels great and looks even better, sign us up. Rhone prides itself on being a brand that inspires men to live healthy. With its sleek workout gear and classic office fits, Rhone is built for men who like to work hard and play hard. Rhone was named after a scenic river in Europe that used to be an important route for trade. The name is the basis on how they create products. Not only is Rhone apparel aesthetically pleasing but it’s built to last. Our favorite items are the Mako Unlined Workout Shorts for comfortable running and the Spar joggers for relaxing after.
Brixton
Brixton is for the everyday man. Named for a popular song from the English punk band The Clash, the company started as a headwear retailer selling newsboy hats out of a garage. Years later, Brixton is known for their classic flannels and wovens that fit almost any guy perfectly. Put one of these on and you’ll notice the quality fabric right away. Their simple tees that usually have a small logo in front and Brixton written on the back in clean, simple letters makes it look like an exclusive club that you wish you were a part of. The best item in our opinion is the Alpha Line Hood with its soft lining and stitched branding in front, its cozy and sleek all in one.
Diamond Supply Co.
Built from skateboard culture, Diamond Supply Co. never gets old. Created by Nick Diamond in his one bedroom apartment in San Francisco, Diamond Supply Co. is revered by all obsessed with streetwear culture. The company is known for its high quality skateboards and accessories. Over the past 22 years, it has transformed into a streetwear brand with unique designs and a logo that shines in every piece. When you see that diamond you long to have it. If you do not own a Diamond Supply Co. item you are not serious about your streetwear game. It is a mixture of old school and new and never goes out of style. We are obsessed with their graphic tees. Our favorite right now is the Long Sleeve Almighty Tee and the Short Sleeve Diamond Life Tee.
